Learn more

Daltech were engaged to carry out a major shut at the Roy Hill mine on a Hitachi EX3600. The scope of the work included changing out the swing bearing, engine, all pumps, cooling system components and hydraulic hoses in addition to a long list of backlogged repairs.

To ensure this shut down was completed ahead of schedule and under budget, Daltech provided a team of 14, split into two crews who worked 3153 hours in total over the 23 days.

Minimising the workload for our clients has always been Daltech’s goal and this job was no different.

Daltech deployed senior team leaders to join the site team and manage the jobs performance, team safety and overall project completion.

Organising a team of this size to travel to any remote work site can be a challenge however, Daltech’s management team worked in-house to arrange site mobilisation, travel management plans, fatigue management planning and shift scheduling for all team members.
