Our Perth Field Service team received a call out to assist with finishing off a D10T2 assembly after it was stripped for paint and repairs.
On assessing the job, they found that the thrust plate was sitting on the ripper frame and both track frames were installed on the machine. The team liaised with the client and expressed concerns about incorrect installation of the track frames and other items.
A crane was organised for the stripping of the track frame to check for correct installation. Upon removal of the track frame, it was clear the thrust plate and also retainer seal was missing.
The team proceeded to install the missing parts, along with finishing the assembly of the D10T2 dozer within the time frame for transport. The client praised his attention to detail and organisation, particularly given the initial state of the job.
